PARQUE DOS OJOS

Located just 20 minutes from Tulum Centre, Parque Dos Ojos is one of the first parks that opened its gates to the public with easy access and basic facilities.

Surrounded by the mayan jungle, the Park Dos Ojos impresses you with clear blue water to dive, snorkel and refresh in.

 

The Cavernzone of Dos Ojos offers two guidelines to lead through different parts of the cavern.

Max depth in both of the dives here is 10mts.

  • min. 10 Dives.

2 Dives Dos Ojos

Cenote The Pit is found a little bit further into the jungle, and it lives up to its name. This Cenote is deeper than average. A magnificent hydrogen-sulfite cloud can be found at around 30 mts depth, and its small entry allows sunbeams to complete the scenario on sunny days.

  • 15 years or older.
  • Advanced Open Water Diver.
  • min. 15 Dives.

CENOTE JARDIN DEL EDÉN

A short drive from Playa del Carmen southwards you will find Cenote Jardin del Eden. Surrounded by jungle with a huge area to snorkel, platform and extra entry for divers, the cavern dive here is incredible. Diving through a dark tunnel before reaching the beautiful light beams that Cenote Coral allows to enter the water is a unique experience. Fossilised coral can be found, and you will experience the layering difference between salty and fresh water, called a halocline.

CENOTE TAJ MAHA

Between Playa del Carmen and Tulum, the entry to Cenote Taj Maha is not far from the highway. The Cenote has a small entry-area compared with others, but one side is dedicated to the cavern-line and area. Different Fossils can be found, as well as another Cenote – called Sugarbowl. The Amazing light plays you can experience during this dive will become a life-time-memory.

CENOTE DREAMGATE

Cenote Dreamgate is an open sinkhole with a platform and stair built by the owners of the place. There is basic facilities on place, located only 20 minutes from Playa del Carmen in the jungle. This Cenote has its very own magic, on the surface as well as underwater. Two dives can be made from this entry, following different guidelines. The ambience and decoration of this maximum 15 meters deep cavern-dives will invite you to take a patient look in every corner, explore the speleothems and get in contact with the art of nature.

CENOTE CARWASH

Cenote Carwash is located some 10 minutes from Tulum Centre, very close to the road, which is, why it’s called carwash. Some years ago, this cenote was used by the local taxidrivers, to wash their cars. Its location with a big open area and a high water level made it perfect. Nowadays nobody cleans their cars here anymore. The waterlilies growing here make this place unique, as well as the tannic-water layer that builds up seasonally in this cenote. The Dive leads through the open area as well as the cavern-zone with lots of speleothems, some small bones and a max depth of 15 meters.

CENOTE ANGELITA

Cenote Angelita is a Pit-like open Cenote with a huge surface in the middle of the jungle south of Tulum. The hydrogen-sulfite layer that you can find in this Cenote is in about 30 Mts depth – there is a small island of organic debris and wood aswell. The dropping view into nowhere and light-play are something very special here, many divers describe Angelita as one of their favourite dives.

2 Dives Dreamgate

CASA CENOTE

Also known as Cenote Manati, this one is very close to the Ocean, therefore contains saltwater. A large open cenote with a cavern and diveable tunnels through the mangroves. It’s a perfect cenote for beginners, or families, as its offering a variety of marine-life to see snorkelling or diving.

Its depth of maximum 6 meters makes it suitable for entry-level training and the short distance to the next boat going out to the Tulum-reefs opens up more opportunities.

  • Beginner.
